North Sydney Public School has a vibrant and rich visual arts program with many opportunities for students to engage in a variety of art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media.

We provide contexts other than the school environment in which to exhibit their work and currently have selected grades participating in the following :

Operation Art - An initiative of The Children's Hospital at Westmead in association with the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities. The Operation Art program provides a forum for schools and students to demonstrate their visual arts achievements through exhibitions at the Armory Gallery, Sydney Olympic Park and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Vivid Light Show Festival - An illuminated installation of lanterns and light boxes to be exhibited in Bradfield Park.

China Art Exchange - A year five 'stop motion animation' project showcasing students' practical art and technological skills.

North Sydney Public School Art Auction - A whole school initiative comprising students individual artworks and collective class art pieces.

'Expanding Horizons' - Opportunities for participation in a gifted and talented non- residential art camp. This camp is restricted to year six only.

Extension art classes - MCA Art Gallery hosts classes for years three and four.

Cardart - A biannual fundraiser where students produce work for printing on to cards, diaries and calendars to serve as gifts or beautiful keepsakes.
